We all thought it was wonderful watching her play with her first doll but she was soon bored with the clothes she came in. When I went to buy some new doll clothes I couldn't believe the retail stores were asking $25 for a basic outfit. Out came my sewing machine and before long Alyssa had a whole new wardrobe for her doll.

Having the best dressed doll in town need not cost a fortune! I was surprised at how much I really enjoyed creating new designs. Before long I was selling doll clothes to friends and then at the local markets. Seeing the excited expression on little girls' faces as they chose the outfit (or more often outfits) for their favourite doll fuelled my passion and Rosie's Dolls Clothes went online in October 2004.
